UPDATE 17th March 2020 Covid-19 Advice & Guidance for Volunteers

In light of the government advice last night about social distancing and avoiding social gatherings, we have taken the difficult decision to suspend volunteering at all of our countryside sites until the end of April, at which point it will be reviewed based on the latest government advice.

Regular Volunteer Groups

The rangers at Ninesprings run two volunteer days which can give you the opportunity to help look after the park and to meet with like minded individuals on a regular basis.

Monday afternoons: 1pm to 3pm - A 2 hour session carrying out lighter tasks.

Thursday full day: 10am to 3pm – A 5 hour session involving heavier conservation work.

Both run on a weekly basis.

Informal volunteering

We are very lucky to have much needed help from regular users of the park who are involved with wildlife surveys, litter picking and helping with events.

Friends of Yeovil Country Park

The Friends of Yeovil Country Park is a community group that seeks to preserve and improve the park for future generations. The group work closely with the rangers to support and promote park projects and toward increasing the number of local people who visit the country park.

The group arrange a meeting every 6 weeks and discuss fundraising opportunities, assist with events and are involved in how the country park is managed.
