A large part of the rangers’ workload is delivery of informal and to a lesser extent, formal educational programmes. The rangers undertake planned and themed events to help the visiting public better understand and appreciate the diversity in habitats and wildlife represented in the park. The hope is that this work will lead to a greater degree of protection and less disturbance to the habitats contributing to the long term conservation of the natural heritage.
