The Ham Hill Centre includes the Ranger’s Office where you can usually find the Countryside Rangers from Monday - Friday at lunchtimes, but the rest of the time they are usually out working on site.

The Centre is usually open at weekends throughout the summer holidays and when the rangers are running events, otherwise it is best to phone in advance to see if there will be any staff around when you plan to visit (01935 823617). There are toilets at the Centre that are accessible at all times from dawn to dusk all year round, seven days a week, including a wheelchair accessible toilet (operated by RADAR key).

The education/meeting room at Ham Hill can be hired from as little as £50 per day. The small carpeted room comfortably seats 25 as an audience, or 15 around tables. Without furniture the room can accommodate a class of children on the floor. The room includes an interactive whiteboard, integral over-head projector, or separate projector.

Refreshment facilities can be provided (just bring your own tea and coffee) and the excellent Prince of Wales pub is located just around the corner for lunches or take out buffets.

The Centre is light and bright and we hope provides an inspiring venue for meetings and training. The rangers would be happy to advise on wider use of Country Park for walks and events linked to your session. If you would like to discuss booking the room or interested in a ranger led sesion, e.g. fire lighting or bush craft skills  please contact us on 01935 823617 or email countryside@southsomerset.gov.uk.
